Register Your Machine
Ten minutes on the day it arrives can save you a very frustrating phone call six months from now. Registering your machine is not us collecting your data to sell you things. It is us being able to actually help you when something goes sideways.
Do this the day the crate lands
- Photograph the VIN plate. It is stamped on the frame, usually on the left side near the steering head or under the seat. Take a clear photo. If your machine is ever stolen, this is the number the sheriff asks for first, and almost nobody has it.
- Photograph the crate, inside and out, before you throw it away. Damage claims live or die on these photos and the freight company only gives you a short window.
- Fill out the Coolster warranty card in your crate documentation and mail it in. That registers you with the manufacturer. Keep a photo of the card before you send it. Coolster also runs a free account system on their own site for manuals and parts diagrams, which is worth setting up the same day.
- Send us the details below. That registers you with us, which is the part that gets you a human on the phone who already knows what you own.
Register with us
Email help@blueskypowersports.com with the subject line Register my machine and include:
- Your name and the phone number you actually answer
- Your order number
- Model and color
- The VIN, typed out, plus the photo of the plate
- The delivery date
- Who the primary rider is and roughly how old they are
We log it, we send you a confirmation, and that is it. No forms, no portal, no password you will forget.
What registration actually gets you
- Faster parts. When you call and say the shifter is bent, we already know the model, the year and the VIN, so we can pull the right part number instead of playing twenty questions.
- Recall and service bulletin notice. If Coolster or the CPSC issues one for your model, we email you the same day we find out. Unregistered owners find out from a forum, eventually, maybe. This brand has had a recall before, so this is not hypothetical. See our recalls page.
- A record if it is stolen. We keep the VIN on file and will provide documentation for a police report or an insurance claim.
- Warranty backup. If your paper card gets lost in the mail, and they do, our record and your delivery date are the proof that you owned it when the problem started.
Start a maintenance log while you are at it
A spiral notebook in the garage beats a perfect app you never open. Write the date, the hours or the rough usage, and what you did. Break in oil change, chain adjustment, tire pressure, air filter. Two lines each time.
Here is why it matters: the fastest way to lose a warranty claim on an engine is not being able to show you did the break in oil change. A notebook with dates in it ends that argument in about four seconds. It also roughly doubles what the machine is worth when you sell it, because the next buyer can see it was cared for.
What we do not do with your information
We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to a data broker. We are a small family operation and we would like to keep being able to look our neighbors in the eye. You will get an email from us if there is a recall, if you ask us a question, or if you opted into the newsletter. That is the whole list.
Questions about any of this, or you would rather do it over the phone: call us or email help@blueskypowersports.com. We would genuinely rather hear from you.
