Warranty
Here is exactly what you are covered for.
Most powersports sites bury this in a help center or a wall of fine print. We would rather put it on one page in plain English, because you are about to spend real money with people you have never met.
What you get
Every machine ships with the Coolster limited manufacturer warranty. The term varies by model and the exact documentation for yours is in the crate.
Being straight with you about one thing: Coolster does not publish warranty terms on their public product pages. We checked all thirteen. So rather than print a number we cannot stand behind, we confirm the term for your specific model with the distributor before your machine ships, and we put it in writing in your order confirmation. If that answer is not good enough before you buy, call us and we will go get it first.
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. If a part was made wrong or assembled wrong at the factory, that is covered.
What it does not cover
We are going to be straight with you about this part, because a surprise here is how people end up furious.
- Wear items. Tires, chains, brake pads, belts, spark plugs, filters, cables, levers, batteries and light bulbs are consumables. They wear out. That is normal.
- Damage from improper assembly. If a wheel comes off because a bolt was never torqued, that is an assembly problem, not a defect.
- Missed maintenance. Skipping the break in oil change is the fastest way to void an engine claim. Keep your records.
- Modification, racing, abuse, or neglect. Big bore kits, removed limiters, jumping a youth machine off a ramp.
- Cosmetic scratches and blemishes from shipping. Those are handled as a freight claim, not a warranty claim, and we cover you there. See below.
- Labor. Warranty covers parts. Labor to install them is on you unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Register it the day it arrives
Fill out the warranty registration in your crate documentation and send it in. Keep a copy. Photograph your VIN plate. Start a maintenance log with dates and hours. Ten minutes now saves you an argument later. Full walkthrough on our registration page.
Shipping damage is a different thing entirely, and we cover it
If your crate arrives damaged, that is not a warranty claim, it is a freight claim, and it is ours to fight, not yours.
- Write the damage on the delivery receipt before you sign. "Crate damaged, contents unverified" is enough. This is the whole ballgame.
- Photograph the crate before and after uncrating.
- Email help@blueskypowersports.com within 48 hours with the photos and your order number.
We file the claim, we chase the carrier, and we make you whole. You do not pay freight to send anything back and you do not pay for the replacement part. The one thing we cannot fix is a clean signed receipt with no damage noted, because that tells the carrier everything arrived perfect. Please take the thirty seconds to look.
How to file a warranty claim
Email help@blueskypowersports.com with:
- Your order number and the email you ordered with
- Model and VIN
- Clear photos or a short video of the problem
- What happened and when, plus roughly how many hours are on the machine
- Your maintenance records if the claim involves the engine
We respond within one business day. If we can solve it with a part and a phone call, that is what we will do. If the manufacturer denies something we think they should cover, we will tell you that honestly and we will look at what we can do on our end. We are a small family business, we are not going to pretend we can eat every cost, but we are also not going to disappear on you.
Lifetime tech support, no expiration
Separate from any warranty, you can call us about your machine for as long as you own it. Will not start, carburetor acting up, chain keeps loosening, cannot find a part. There is no clock on that and it does not cost anything. It is the part of this business we actually enjoy.
